There are two forms of fishing, including fishing in the daytime and cuttle-fish catching in the evening. During the day, because the waves can get quite high the participants should be agile, healthy and not easily affected by seasickness. As the boat travels along the coral ranges the fishermen and women drop their lines to snare the fish. When the fish bite they must be quick to react, with a hard tug on their fishing pole. The fish caught are then grilled on the boat to serve the tourists. It is also very interesting to catch cuttle-fish in the evening in Bai Sao. Tourists will be taken to the area where there are many cuttle-fish shoals, then, the boat's engine is turned off and all the lights are turned on to attract the cuttle-fish shoals. Tourists use colourful lures made of plastic to catch cuttle-fish.
